We hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and is enjoying time with family and friends. As the school holidays continue, please stay safe and look out for those who may need extra support. This time of year can be difficult for vulnerable people and those experiencing homelessness, so let’s work together to make a difference.
If you know someone in need, help is available in Rochdale. Soup Kitchen Rochdale at Champness Hall offers hot meals Monday to Saturday. Rochdale Foodbank on Newgate provides essential food support, and local charities such as Army of Kindness and Aspire2Inspire offer community meals and emergency food.
For anyone sleeping rough, the Council’s Rough Sleeper Outreach Team and services like Petrus Hub and Sanctuary Trust can provide accommodation and support. You can report concerns via Streetlink or contact the Council directly. Warm Spaces are open across the borough, offering a safe place and hot drinks, and the Household Support Fund can help with food and energy costs.
If you see someone vulnerable or in crisis, please reach out. For emergencies call 999, for non-emergencies call 101. Together, we can keep Wardleworth safe and caring this winter.
